A leave in Conditioner that Doubles as a Heat Protectant!
If you regularly straighten your hair it’s important to invest in a good heat protectant. The one I recommend and use religiously is the Revlon UniqOne All In One Hair Treatment. In my opinion it is the best heat protection spray to use with straighteners. I’ve tested out products from ghd, Aussie, Kerastase and Redken, but still end up coming back to the Revlon product. I think it’s brilliant because it doesn’t just protect your hair from the heat. It is also is an excellent leave in conditioner, it tames frizz, protects hair colour, helps to detangle, prevents split ends and contains UVA and UVB filters. In this post I will review the Revlon UniqOne All in One Hair Treatment as well as show you the best technique for straightening your hair with a leave in conditioner.

Review of the Revlon UniqOne All in One Hair Treatment
I found the Revlon UniqOne Hair Treatment while looking for a leave in conditioner to use as a heat protectant. It was Amazon’s Number 1 Best Seller in Beauty and had thousands of five star reviews.
I noticed after first spraying the product onto my hair that it instantly felt silky and smooth even before I started drying my hair. My hair became quickly detangled and easier to style as I was drying it. The smell is strong but not overpowering. Normally when I dry my hair it is slightly frizzy before I straighten it, but after applying the Revlon UniqOne All in One Hair Treatment my hair already appeared less frizzy and smoother. Straightening my hair was much easier with the product. My hair appeared healthy and hydrated and my ends were less dry.
On the first day you use the product you will notice your hair is much shinier and has a glossy feel to it. Overall I think this product is the best heat protection spray for straighteners.
Technique for Straightening Hair with Leave in Conditioner
Spray the Revlon UniqOne All in One Hair Treatment onto the palm of your hand. Use 2-3 sprays for short hair, 3-5 for medium and 4-6 for long hair. Rub your palms together before distributing the product through your hair paying particular attention to the ends. Dry your hair completely before you use your straighteners. You will notice it is much easier to straighten your hair after using the Revlon UniqOne All in One Hair Treatment and your hair will be left soft and silky.
At What Temperature Does Hair Burn?
The optimum temperature for styling that won’t cause damage to the hair is about 185°C/365°F. If you are yet to buy some hair straighteners then I recommend looking at ghd. Ghd hair straighteners deliver a consistent and even heat of 185°C across the plate and will not damage or burn your hair. Check out the video below which compares the ghd platinum to regular straighteners.
