Vanilla Bean Fig Jam
This is the vanilla fig jam recipe I make at home. It’s thick, lightly sweet, and made with fresh figs and vanilla. This recipe makes a small batch with minimal prep.

Ingredients
- 1 pound figs (450g), stems removed, washed, and quartered
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- ½ cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla bean extract
Instructions
- Place the figs and lemon juice in a large bowl.
- Let sit at room temperature for 45 minutes.
- Transfer the figs and juices to a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the maple syrup and vanilla. Stir to combine.
- Cook, stirring occasionally, until thick and jam-like, about 50–55 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Serve warm or transfer to an airtight container.
- Store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
