This post is a review of the Viola Skin Anti Wrinkle cream.
I regularly search Amazon for new skin care products to review and this is where I discovered Viola Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream.
My Review of Viola Skin Anti Wrinkle Cream
Experience
I found this surprisingly effective although after a bit of investigation I discovered it does have a questionable ingredient. Amazon describes it as a “powerful age defying face cream with Matrixyl 3000, it reduces signs of ageing, and contains Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid”. I was a bit skeptical given that it was less than £15 that it would be as effective as the reviews were promising, but to my surprise it did seem to make a difference within a couple of days. I noticed that my skin did feel more hydrated and my fine lines seemed to have reduced. The cream doesn’t have a particularly strong smell and is an unusual texture which is slightly sticky (meaning it did stick to my pillow a bit when I used it at night!). This moisturiser also doesn’t contain any SPF which means either you can only use it at night or you need to put another cream with sun protection over the top.
Ingredients
I had a good look at all the ingredients in this product as I’m normally careful about what I put on my skin. The product claims to be free from alcohol, parabens, sulphate, lactin, and gluten. It also states that it is enriched with an ingredient called Argireline. After looking further into what Argireline actually is I discovered that it is actually quite controversial. There have been some studies which have shown that Argireline is like an alternative to Botox. It inhibits the muscle movement and therefore helps to prevent wrinkle formation as well as improving the appearance of current fine lines. Although it has shown to be effective in reducing wrinkles, there are some who say that with prolonged use it may cause skin sagging. I have read arguments on both sides, some who say that this ingredient can’t cause skin sagging and other who say they are not willing to take the risk. I’ve decided I won’t be buying anything with Argireline in it since there are other less controversial formulas out there.
Pros: Great price, my skin felt hydrated and fine lines seemed reduced.
Cons: Slightly too sticky, no SPF and contains Argireline

Anti Wrinkle Cream FAQs
What is the difference between anti wrinkle and anti aging cream?
Anti ageing creams are used to delay or prevent you from getting lines and wrinkles, whereas anti wrinkle creams work to reduce the appearance of wrinkles you already have.
What age should start using anti wrinkle cream?
As soon as you first notice the signs of wrinkles you can start using an anti wrinkle cream. Anti ageing creams usually target dryness and can be used from as early as your teenage years. The predominant cause of skin ageing is the sun and you should start using SPF from as young as possible. (NB: You should not put sunscreen on babies under 6 months old)
