BENTON Let’s Carrot Oil Toner
Best Korean Toner for Dry Skin that’s also Sensitive
The Benton Let’s Carrot Oil Toner is an amazing two layered toner containing both water and oil! It’s made up from carrot water and carrot seed oil, which, when shaken together combines to make a super hydrating toner that perfectly matches your skin’s natural pH!
Carrot seed oil helps to keep the face hydrated and helps to maintain the skin’s natural oils. Carrots are rich in beta-carotene which is a powerful antioxidant that protects the skin from the free radicals that cause premature ageing. They also contain vitamin e which has anti-inflammatory benefits and helps to minimise the appearance of fine lines.
This toner comes in the form of a mist which you can either spray straight onto your skin or used as a traditional toner using a cotton pad. The formula is free from artificial fragrances, parabens, sulfates, artificial colors, animal products, alcohol, mineral oils, and silicone. It will leave you with hydrated skin whilst calming irritation.
Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Essence Water
Best Korean Toner for Dry Skin that’s also Damaged
The Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Essence Water is a cross between an essence and a toner. It contains a formula used in traditional Korean holistic medicine (known as Hanbang 한방) to maintain healthy skin. Hanbang uses herbal remedies to maintain a person’s overall health and wellbeing, including the health of their skin!
This key ingredient in this formula is ginseng root water, which makes up 80% of the ingredients. Ginseng is rich in antioxidants and helps to protect the skin from the environmental stressors that can cause premature skin ageing. It also promotes collagen production and healthy circulation. It is used in Korean remedies to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and inflammation, and brighten the skin.
The other ingredients include niacinamide and adensosine which strengthen the skin barrier and soothe redness and irritation. If you have dry and damaged skin you will see excellent results with this toner since it moisturises the skin and helps it to look smoother and plumper.
This particular toner also works well for acne-prone skin and oily skin since ginseng helps to regulate oil production, and niacinamide encourages cell turnover which is beneficial for people with acne.
The Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Essence Water is free from artificial fragrances, parabens, sulfates, artificial colors, animal products, alcohol, mineral oils, essential oils, and silicone.
Goodal – Green Tangerine Vita C Toner Pad
Best Korean Exfoliating Toner for Dry Skin
These vitamin c toner pads are particularly good for dry or dehydrated skin. They contain both vitamin c and hyaluronic acid to deliver hydration to the skin whilst making it appear brighter and more evenly toned.
If you have dry skin you should be careful about using harsh chemical exfoliants such as glycolic acid and salicylic acid, which could cause skin irritation and dry your skin out more. These toner pads however are perfect for removing dead skin cells, and gently exfoliating the skin without the harsh stripping effects of AHAs and BHAs.
Since this toner comes already on pads it is extremely convenient and also allows you to use them on targeted areas of the face, for example areas of hyperpigmentation. The toner uses only natural acids derived from real fruits, mainly green tangerine to clarify, tone and moisturise the skin.
Etude House SoonJung PH 5.5 Relief Toner
Best Refreshing Korean Toner for Dry Skin
Etude House created their SoonJung range specifically for people with sensitive skin. Their toner is perfect if you have both dry and sensitive skin since it delivers deep hydration whilst being in a simple non irritating formula.
This toner uses 97% natural ingredients and has a pH of 5.5 which is ideal for keeping the skin balanced and hydrated throughout the day. It contains panthenol and madecassoside (from centella asiatica extract) which work together to hydrate and repair the skin.

ACWELL Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner
The ACEWELL Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner is perfect for reducing the appearance of dark spots and hypermigmentation. Licorice has a been used as a whitening cosmetic for thousands of years. It both lightens and brightens the skin.
This toner is perfect to brighten and deeply clean dry skin. As well as licorice it also contains peony extract which is another natural skin brightener, as well as green tea extract which calms and reduces pigmentation.
I tried this toner along with the Neogen Real Ferment Micro Essence to help me achieve “honey skin”. Honey skin is the name given in Korea to skin that’s glowing with health. I found when using this toner my skin was clean and smooth and not at all dry or tight.
If you have combination skin or oily skin this toner would also work well.

Benton Cosmetic Aloe BHA Skin Toner
The Benton Cosmetic Aloe BHA Skin Toner both hydrates the skin and helps it to better absorb the other products in your skincare routine. The gentle formula contains both aloe vera and snail mucin which soothe and moisturise the skin. It also contains salicylic acid which gently exfoliates the skin without stripping it of its natural oils.
Snail secretion filtrate is often used in Korean skincare products to address skin problems such as dryness. It is extremely hydrating and soothing and a great option if you have a dry skin type.
The Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner is a great product if you have dry patches and want to moisturise and smooth the skin. Although it is an exfoliant it is much gentler than Western toners.

SON & PARK Beauty Water
The Son & Park Beauty Water is a multi-tasking award winning toner which won the 2015 Soko Glam Best of K-Beauty™ award. It’s not only a toner but a cleanser and mild exfoliant. The active ingredients in contains include papaya extract and witch hazel. Papaya extract helps to remove dead skin cells whilst witch hazel calms and soothes the skin.
This is a great toner for dry skin as it contains lavender water, rose water and orange fruit extract to hydrate and moisturise the skin whilst preparing it for the next step in your skincare routine. The Son & Park Beauty Water has a pH of 4.5 and effectively resets the skin’s natural ph balance.

The Etude House Moistfull Collagen Facial Toner is one of my favourite Korean beauty products. Etude House add super collagen and Baobab water to this toner which provide moisture to dry skin as well as help to rebalance the skin’s pH.
This toner is in a gel like formula which quickly absorbs into the skin. You will be left with a natural healthy glow. It would work well for both dry and oily skin types.

SUR.MEDIC+ Super Hyaluronic 100TM Aqua Skin
The SUR.MEDIC+ Super Hyaluronic 100TM Aqua Skin is a slightly more expensive toner but certainly worth the extra cost. It contains a combination of hyaluronic acid molecules that deeply hydrate and strengthen the skin.
It also contains camu camu which is rich in vitamin c and brightens the skin, as well as the probiotic Lactobacillus to promote a healthy complexion. This toner also contains ginseng root and adenosine which both firm and tighten the skin.

The Mamonde Rose Water Toner is formulated with extracts from 100% organic Damask rose which calms, moisturise and mildly exfoliates the skin.
